I am a scientist by training, holding a PhD in Chemistry, and I have also founded a biotech startup. Through this journey, however, I realized that the most important part of my life is my family and, above all, my dogs. They are not just pets to me, but true partners.

I actively train my dogs in nose work, a discipline in which we have been very successful. We have participated in structured training programs and activities related to Search and Rescue (SAR) in different countries, as well as obedience work. Both of my dogs hold BH1 certifications, and one of them is also trained in truffle detection. This background has given me a deep understanding of canine behavior, motivation, stress signals, and the importance of mental stimulation.

At this stage of my life, as I explore a new professional direction, I would like to offer my time and experience to support other pet owners through dog walking and day care. I enjoy providing dogs with structured walks, calm companionship, and activities adapted to their individual needs.

I only accept vaccinated dogs and am comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes, always prioritizing safety, consistency, and the well-being of each animal. My goal is to create a reliable and respectful environment where dogs feel secure, understood, and happy.


Über mich und meine Motivation:
Hallo! Ich bin Sarah, 40 Jahre alt und lebe mit meinem  4-jährigen Silver Labrador Rüden George zusammen. George hat aufgrund genetischer Veränderungen chronische Rücken- und Knieprobleme – daher kenne ich mich bestens mit kranken und älteren Hunden, Medikamentengabe, Physiotherapie und Futterunverträglichkeiten aus.
Ich arbeite im Bereich Unternehmenskommunikation und arbeite viel von zu Hause aus. Daher bin zeitlich flexibel. Ich möchte Hundebesitzer*innen dabei unterstützen, dass ihre Lieblinge gut ausgelastet sind und eine schöne Zeit haben. Obwohl ich keine ausgebildete Hundetrainerin bin, habe ich durch George, meine eigene Kindheit mit Hund, meine Hundeschul-Erfahrung und meinen hundebegeisterten Freundeskreis viel Wissen gesammelt.
Mein Mindset:
Hunde sind eigenständige Lebewesen mit eigenen Bedürfnissen – kein Spielzeug und keine Maschine. Ich begegne jedem Hund respektvoll und partnerschaftlich. Mir ist ein gutes Miteinander wichtig: Dein Hund darf Hund sein, aber ich achte darauf, dass er die wichtigsten Menschenregeln einhält. Ich passe mich deinem Erziehungsstil an, ob Geschirr oder Halsband, Leckerlis oder Spielzeug zur Belohnung.
Ein typischer Tag bei mir:
In der Früh bin ich gerne beim Sport, aber ich bin hier sehr flexibel und richte mich ganz nach den Bedürfnissen deines Hundes und deinen Wünschen.
Bei&nbsp;Tagesbetreuung bei mir: Dein Hund verbringt den Tag mit George und mir. Es gibt eine große gemeinsame Gassirunde (min. 45-60 Min.) im Grünen, idealerweise mit Schnüffelmöglichkeiten und Freilauf an der Schleppleine. Zusätzlich 1-2 kleinere Runden, je nach Wunsch. Zwischendurch gibt es Ruhepausen – dein Hund hat ein eigenes Körbchen im separaten Zimmer. Beschäftigung nach Bedarf: Schnüffelspiele, kleine Trainingseinheiten oder einfach entspanntes Chillen. Ausflüge (Prater, Donauinsel) sind jederzeit möglich.
Bei&nbsp;Hausbesuchen/Gassi-Service: Ich komme zu dir, kümmere mich um Futter, Medikamente, Spielen und Gassirunden – alles nach Absprache. Ich bin während der gesamten Zeit voll bei deinem Hund – kein Handy, keine Ablenkung.
Umgang mit Notfällen:
Durch Georges gesundheitliche Situation achte ich besonders auf Anzeichen von Unwohlsein. Vor der Betreuung klären wir gemeinsam: Wer ist dein*e Tierarzt*Tierärztin? Gibt es Besonderheiten, Allergien oder Medikamente? Wie handle ich im Notfall? Deine Kontaktdaten und die Nummern von Notfall-Tierkliniken habe ich immer griffbereit.

Kennenlernphase:
Bevor wir starten, schlage ich immer ein kostenloses Kennlerntreffen vor – im Park oder bei dir zu Hause. So können wir uns beschnuppern, ich lerne deinen Hund kennen und du kannst sehen, ob die Chemie stimmt. Auf Wunsch kann George gerne dabei sein, damit sich die beiden schon mal kennenlernen können.
Bei längerer Betreuung (Übernachtung, Betreuung bei mir) machen wir gerne 1-2 Probegassi-Runden, damit sich dein Hund an mich gewöhnt. Wenn die Betreuung bei mir in der Wohnung (150m²) stattfinden soll, ist ein Kennenlernen mit George besonders wichtig – auch wenn dein Hund ein eigenes Zimmer hätte, sollten die beiden sich kennen und miteinander auskommen.

Ich habe seit 5 Jahren einen schüchternen Schäfer Mischling Namens Nala daheim und passe öfters auch auf Hunde von Freunden auf.
Sowohl mit großen, kleinen, wilden, schüchternen, aufdringlichen und ruhigen Hunden Erfahrung ;)
Biete Haustiersitting nach vorherigem Kennenlernen (z.B. bei einem gemeinsamen Spaziergang) an.
Wir wohnen direkt im Sonnwendviertel und unsere Spaziergänge finden morgens meist hier und durchs Arsenal statt, nachdem wir es hier eh super grün haben.
Nachmittags auch gerne Löwygrube, Prater oder Donauinsel.
Wenn dein Hund sportlich ist darf er auch gerne zum Laufen mitkommen!
Nachdem ich einen Job habe in dem ich Home Office machen kann ist eine Betreuung auch während der Arbeit kein Problem.

Am liebsten sind mir längerfristige Arrangements, aber natürlich auch für Einmalige Aufträge zu haben, Urlaubsbetreuung, und so weiter.
