Top cities for house sitting in Austria

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Pressbaum home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Pressbaum.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Pressbaum home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hallo!

Alles Liebe, Lilian

Hi! My name is Ema and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up around many different kinds of animals and caring for them has always come naturally to me. From dogs and cats to reptiles, amphibians and even tiny insects . I genuinely love all kinds of animals and enjoy spending time with them.
I’m a very energetic, open and caring person and I can give pets a lot of attention, playtime and activity depending on their needs and personality. I especially enjoy long walks and hikes and I’m fully willing to take long routes and spend a lot of active time outside with dogs. Whether a pet is extremely energetic and playful or shy and quiet, I adapt very quickly and respect their boundaries immediately. I understand that every animal communicates differently and I always pay close attention to their behavior and comfort level.
I already have experience with cat sitting, dog walking and caring for different animals through both pet sitting and my own pets. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, cleaning, giving attention, playtime and handling messy situations if needed. I don’t get scared or uncomfortable easily and I stay calm in stressful situations.
During pet sitting, I make sure animals feel safe, relaxed and cared for. I can also keep owners updated with messages and photos if wanted, so they always know their pets are doing well. If a pet has special routines, medication schedules or specific needs, I’m always careful to follow instructions closely.
Unfortunately, I cannot take animals into my own home, but I am very flexible and fully available to travel to owners or different locations. I’m available for walks, daily visits and longer care sessions depending on what is needed.

My name is Stipe and I am 28. I have had my own dogs and cats before moving to Vienna and I love being around animals. I've had two dogs, a mid size croatian shepherd and a large Sar mountain dog. I also had outdoor and indoor cats and my family even had chickens. I have years of experience in taking care of animals. I live in Vienna, about 5 metro stations from Stephansplatz. I've done housesitting and pet-sitting in Germany, Austria, the USA, and Croatia, taking care of homes and pets while their owners were away. Growing up, I was responsible for daily household tasks like cleaning, cooking for my family, anc taking care of our pets. We grew up on the countryside and had multiple cats, a dog, and chickens even! Il'm able to care for animals with specific dietary needs and am also fine with cooking for them if needed. I'm calm, organized, and reliable, and I'll ensure your pets are happy and well-fed during my stay.I've also gathered loads of pet sitting experience in the U.S. and have reviews for anyone interested in seeing them. I mainly work remotely so taking for your pets, taking them for walks, feeding them etc is never an issue as I'm very flexible. I am available for cat and dog pet sittjng and also home boarding at your place.

I am myself owner of 2 12-year old cats. I have experience taking care of many others after surgeries, feeding through tubes and giving medications. I have good relationships too with shy cats, since I have one myself. I know they need time and space. I am more than happy also to enjoy playing, taking a walk if they do so (I also walk dogs).
taking care of animals is something I love to do and it is like my dream side-gig :)
for the same reason mentioned, I only do house-visits long term or over night stays over a limited period of time. I, unfortunately, cannot take animals into my home since my old cats are the owners of this place ;)
I also when I travel use the services of petsitters, so I also understand first-hand what's like to be on the other side. I am happy to send you updates, photos and videos of your babies in every visit or as we agree. Communication is key!

Theresa
